Winter Linseed
Substantial premiums are available for quality linseed, but it will be the choice of variety that determines the desirability and final value to individual buyers. Over the last two years the most valuable samples have achieved premiums of 30% above the base crushing prices for industrial use. We can offer contracts for both Winter Linseed and Spring Linseed crops.
With farmers looking for alternative winter cropping to replace their OSR, we can now offer bespoke and unique supply of seed and buy backs for Winter Linseed crops. Adding onto our already well established spring linseed portfolio, we have a selection of yellow and brown winter linseed contracts on offer. Yellow linseed often trades at a £40/tonne premium over brown seed. Both of our yellow (Orival) and brown (Sideral & Apalache) skinned varieties deliver a good yields comparable to many varieties grown currently in the UK.
