The company has forever concentrated on the lower volume ‘added value’ grains, as opposed to the higher volume ‘commodity’ sector. The policy has always been to create and build managed supply chains, engaging farmers and processors with each other to achieve more meaningful and sustainable crop production.
It all began with Marrowfat Peas for human consumption, followed by Linseed. Then on to Malting Barley and the renowned Maris Otter story. Then, a leading role in the Organic Grains market. Add to this Milling Oats, and whenever the opportunity presents itself, Milling Wheat, and it all adds up to a wide portfolio of more profitable crops.
